　"Active volcano Mt. Meakan-dake,and a 5-color lake Onneto

■Lake Onneto

　　　The lake of the mystery in the area in Ashoro-cho in the large Akan Mashu national park "Onneto." Onneto is what the river has been dammed up by the eruption of the active volcano and Mt. Meakan-dake.

　　　Around the lake is located 2.5km.The lake is called the "lake which aged", or the "big lake" in folks' and Ainu's words. The lake is one of the Hokkaido 3 major mysterious lakes along with "Okotanpe lake (Chitose)" - "Shinonome lake (Kamishihoro-cho)."

　　　Ashoro-cho is known as a producing district of "laｗan Butterbur". An elevation exceeds 2 m, the caliber of a stalk is the jumbo butterbur which can also be 10 cm, and a ragwort is No.1 of Japan. Please do not listen to an account and look at a lower photo!

　　　"Lawan butterbur" is grown by the people of the farming family which joins in "JA Ashoro" (Ashoro-cho agricultural cooperative society), and June is a "season."
